How Travelatino handles cancellations, changes, supplier disruptions, and potential refunds.

This page is a structured business draft based on Travelatino’s current operating decisions. It must be reviewed and finalized by an appropriate Canadian legal or compliance professional before public launch.
This policy explains the general process for traveler-requested cancellations, changes, refunds, supplier cancellations, and unused services. The final proposal and booking confirmation may contain trip-specific conditions that take priority where clearly disclosed.
The CAD $199 design fee is credited toward the trip when the traveler books with Travelatino. If the traveler decides not to book, the design fee is non-refundable because the planning work has already been performed.
Cancellation requests must be submitted through the designated website form or official Travelatino email. A cancellation is not effective until Travelatino acknowledges receipt in writing.
The effective cancellation date is the date Travelatino receives the written request during normal business processing, subject to confirmation.
Cancellation costs depend on the date of cancellation, the services booked, supplier rules, payment status, and amounts that suppliers are willing or legally required to return.
Before launch, Travelatino must insert a final cancellation schedule or state clearly that each proposal contains the applicable schedule. Do not publish invented percentages.
Travelatino will provide a written breakdown of known non-refundable amounts, recoverable amounts, applicable disclosed charges, and the estimated timing of any refund.
Requests to change dates, traveler names, destinations, hotels, transportation, or experiences are subject to availability and supplier approval.
Any additional supplier cost, fare difference, change fee, non-refundable loss, or new service cost will be disclosed before the traveler confirms the change where reasonably possible.
A supplier may change schedules, properties, routes, experiences, or operating conditions. Travelatino may substitute a reasonably comparable service where necessary and available.
If a material service is cancelled and no acceptable alternative is available, Travelatino will communicate the available options, which may include a supplier credit, rebooking, partial refund, or refund of amounts actually recovered, subject to applicable law.
Flights issued and charged by a separate Canadian air partner are governed by that provider’s fare rules and cancellation process.
Services purchased directly by the traveler from another provider are outside Travelatino’s refund responsibility unless Travelatino expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
No-shows, late arrivals, early departures, missed transfers, and voluntarily unused services are generally non-refundable unless the applicable supplier agrees otherwise or applicable law requires a refund.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended because it may provide protection for eligible cancellation, interruption, delay, medical, baggage, or other covered events. Coverage depends entirely on the policy wording, exclusions, eligibility, and claim decision of the insurer.
Approved refunds will normally be returned through the original payment method where practical. Processing time depends on supplier remittance, payment processors, banking systems, and any required reconciliation.
Travelatino will not describe a refund as approved until the amount and source have been confirmed.
